Centurylink data center issue – 12/12/2017 – resolved

There is currently an outage affecting our Sterling, VA facility, colocated with Centurylink.  The outage is being investigated. Some services are impacted, including mail.his.com and several other mail servers. Update:  as of 4:08 PM EST all services were restored.  Outage duration was 71 minutes.

mail.his.com emergency maintenance 11/12/2017 – resolved

Because of an issue with the server that hosts mail.his.com, we had to perform an emergency backup and restore Sunday afternoon, 11/12/2017.  This caused incoming mail for his.com and hers.com addresses to go missing for a few hours.  We were able to re-deliver all of the missing mail, so no incoming mail was lost.  Depending… Read More »

Delayed mail to his.com and hers.com domains – resolved

Barracuda developed a problem today in their cloud layer, and some mail to addresses using the his.com and hers.com domain has been delayed.  Outgoing mail from those domains has not been affected. Resolved: spam.his.com backlog 5/19/2014

Starting at 6:30 AM on Monday, 5/19/2014, multiple servers were hit with a high-volume spam flood from a Russian botnet that had hijacked user email accounts.  The volume was so high that spam.his.com, which filters both incoming and outgoing mail, became backlogged and mail delivery became very slow.  We identified the problem shortly after 7 AM and… Read More »

his.com and hers.com mailboxes on mail.his.com have been increased in size to 5 gigabytes.  You can add disk storage if you need it for $1/gb/month. In order to expand disk space to accommodate larger user disk allowances, Zimbra servers mail.his.com and dc.his.com will be taken offline briefly this weekend: mail.his.com – starting at 3 AM EDT, Saturday, April 6th – COMPLETED 5:20 AM April 6 dc.his.com – starting at 3 AM EDT, Sunday, April 7th – COMPLETED with no downtime.
