Spam Filter Glitch 6/5/23 – resolved
At 5:30 PM Monday 6/5/23 one of our vendors glitched and some mail to domains that we host was briefly blocked. That vendor was removed from the mix and the problem has been resolved.

Mail for his.com and a number of other domains is currently down and the problem has been identified. Incoming mail is queuing on backup servers and will be delivered when the problem is resolved. Update: this has been resolved as of 11 AM EDT, 3/12/2019 Clicking the link in spam.his.com quarantine notifications in some Browsers (Chrome, Firefox) may take you to a temporary error page. Because of an issue with the server that hosts mail.his.com, we had to perform an emergency backup and restore Sunday afternoon, 11/12/2017. Centurylink had a network outage that affected our Sterling, VA data center for approximately 15 minutes starting at 7:03 AM EST 2/9/2016 until 7:18 AM EST. The problem has been resolved.
We are patching and rebooting all linux servers for the ‘GHOST‘ security vulnerability. Reboots aren’t needed often with linux, but because this patch replaces a library (glibc) that is used by many programs on each server, a reboot is required.
Starting at 6:30 AM on Monday, 5/19/2014, multiple servers were hit with a high-volume spam flood from a Russian botnet that had hijacked user email accounts. In order to expand disk space to accommodate larger user disk allowances, Zimbra servers mail.his.com and dc.his.com will be taken offline briefly this weekend: mail.his.com – starting at 3 AM EDT, Saturday, April 6th – COMPLETED 5:20 AM April 6 dc.his.com – starting at 3 AM EDT, Sunday, April 7th – COMPLETED with no downtime.
